Celebrating 120 years: Australian Open 2025 by the numbers

This year the Australian Open, renowned as the Happy Slam, celebrated 120 years since it started in 1905. 

AO 2025 introduced a range of initiatives including Coach Pods, TOPCOURT, live animated feeds and the One Point Slam.

Jannik Sinner defended his Australian Open men’s singles crown, claiming back-to-back titles, while Madison Keys won her maiden Grand Slam women’s singles title.

AO 2025 broke the main draw and three-week attendance records with 1,218,831 fans through the gates (1,110,657 in 2024). 

Opening Week attracted 116,528 fans (up from 89,894) and main draw 1,102,303 (1,020,763 in 2024).
